The Health Department helps children and their families stay healthy through the
services listed below. The cost for some services is based on your ability to
pay. Other services are provided at a set fee.
The Health Department doctors can provide the physical exam
required by schools, daycares, and sports teams.

The Health Department doctors can provide a well child exam – also called a
physical – when your child is well to check on growth and development. Physjcal
exams for school, daycare and sports are also available.

The Escambia County
Health Department has placed great emphasis on increasing accessibility and
availability of immunizations for children and adults. All child and adolescent
immunizations in accordance with the
Bureau of Immunizations Schedule and
the Florida School Guidelines are available to eligible children ages 0-18 free
of charge.
The immunization department works closely with the Immunization Coalition and
the Kiwanis Club of Pensacola to increase vaccination rates among children and
adolescents.

Immunization for Travelers
The health department is a designated travel center.
Travel information is based on the
CDC’s Travelers’ Health
recommendations.
Shot Mobile
The health department operated a mobile immunization van “the Shotmobile” that
is staffed by an outreach team to provide vaccinations at various sites in the
county.
The Health Department doctors may be able to treat
your child when she or he is sick or if there is a problem.

MedicaidThe
Health Department provides physical exams to individuals on straight Medicaid.
To schedule an appointment, call 595-6554.
MediPassMedicaid may have designated the Health Department as your
Medipass provider or you can choose the Health Department as your Medipass

Shelter CareThe
Health Department provides physical exams for children in shelter care. For more
