The nutrition department provides factual and current nutrition information to the citizens of Escambia County. A registered dietician is available to answer general questions or assist with a special diet prescribed by your doctor.

Cost
Fees for nutrition services are based on a sliding scale.

WIC

 

The Federal Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) provides vouchers for free food to use at local grocery stores as well as nutrition and breastfeeding counseling for Women, Infants and Children under 5 years old. 

 

WIC Provides: 

  • Nutrition Education

  • Healthy Foods at no cost

  • Breastfeeding information and support.

  • Breast pump loans

  • Referrals for Healthcare

To be eligible you must be:

  • A pregnant woman or

  • A breastfeeding woman or

  • A woman who has recently delivered or

  • An infant or child under 5 years old and

Clinic Hours
WIC offers a walk-in clinic for many services.

Call 595-6670 before your first visit to make sure we can provide the service you need on that day. 

Monday – Thursday 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
